RON HUSTON JOINS ADVANCED ASSEMBLY AS DIRECTOR
OF MARKETING

Colorado company specializes in quick-turn, low-volume PCB assembly

Denver, CO – December 3, 2008 – Ron Huston, former owner and CEO of Advanced Circuits, has joined Advanced Assembly, a Denver-based provider of PCB (printed circuit board) SMT (surface mount technology) assembly services, as director of marketing. Huston’s focus will be on increasing sales to engineers who need surface mount parts placed on printed circuit boards in less than two days.

Huston’s expertise includes two decades of successful entrepreneurial and management experience in the electronics industry. After co-founding Advanced Circuits in 1989, he helped the company revolutionize the printed circuit board industry, becoming a market leader in PCB prototypes. Huston was awarded the Best Boss Award from Fortune Small Business in 2004, and was named Executive of the Year by CircuiTree Magazine in 2003. He holds a degree in electrical engineering from Wichita State University.

“We are excited to have Ron on board,” said Lawrence Davis, Advanced Assembly’s co-founder and CEO. “His successful industry track record and vision for the company is a perfect fit to help guide the growth of Advanced Assembly over the next few years.”

Huston plans to place a major emphasis on customer service, advertising and sales. “Advanced Assembly is the best in the world when it comes to SMT assembly for engineers, and the enthusiastic response from our customers tell us we’re fulfilling a previously unmet need,” said Huston. “We are well capitalized to be a major player in this market and we intend to grow strategically, with a constant focus on quickly delivering the cleanest prototype assemblies in the industry.”

Advanced Assembly’s staff grew by 51% in 2008. The company’s proprietary, automated system can assemble low-quantity projects 87% faster than doing it in-house. This service also reduces costly errors and it helps engineers meet tight deadlines with on-time delivery.
