ADVANCED ASSEMBLY RECEIVES ISO CERTIFICATION FROM UNDERWRITERS LABORATORIES

Gold standard in quality management awarded to Colorado company specializing in quick-turn, precision projects for design engineers needing low volume or prototype PCB assembly

Denver, CO – September 16, 2008 – Advanced Assembly, a Denver-based provider of precision printed circuit board (PCB) assembly services, has been awarded ISO 9001:2000 certification from Underwriters Laboratories (UL), an independent product safety certification organization that tests products and systems for thousands of companies in 99 countries.

SO 9001:2000 is a series of standards for quality management systems that provides quality assurance guidelines and quality system models used by manufacturers and other companies worldwide. It was established in 1987 by the Geneva-based International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and is considered the international standard in more than 100 countries.

"ISO is the gold standard. It is not handed out to just anyone, you have to earn it," said CEO and founder Lawrence Davis. "This achievement proves to our customers that we take quality management seriously. We are delighted to receive such an important stamp of approval."

ISO 9001:2000 recognizes that Advanced Assembly reaches the standard for defining quality policies and objectives, roles and responsibilities, and documentation requirements, and also understands the importance of meeting customer requirements, resource requirements, training, product and process planning, purchasing, production and service, communication, monitoring and measurement of products and processes, customer satisfaction, internal audit, management review and identification and improvement to its key technical process.
