Terms and Conditions
Quotes valid for 30 days.
Price and specification changes:
If the quoted specifications and your actual design specifications disagree, you are subject to a price change (either up or down) necessitated by the actual product design information.
Part Procurement Policy:
Components purchased based on the customer-provided BOM (Bill of Materials).
Assembly based on the customer-provided BOM and/or components provided in a consigned kit.
All substitutions require customer approval.
Solder Paste:
Leaded solder paste is used unless customer specifies otherwise.
Warranty:
Workmanship is warranted up to 30 days of invoicing. Advanced Assembly will repair the assembly or credit the quoted cost of the placement at Advanced Assembly's option.
Payment:
First order must be paid by Credit card - VISA, MC, or AMEX. Subsequently, for infrequent orders, a credit card is the best payment method. To be eligible for open account, you must be getting deliveries every month, sign our Credit Agreement, and meet credit approval criteria. Terms will remain Credit Card or COD until customer is notified in writing of any change.
When Advanced Assembly buys parts and bare boards for you, payment is due at the time of ordering.
Cancellation:
Cancelled orders are subject to any costs we’ve incurred up to the time of cancellation. Any partial work, or remaining parts, will be sent to you. Call your Sales Representative immediately and follow up with a fax or email to confirm.
FOB:
Insured 100% against replacement cost. We pre-pay and bill for shipping. We reserve the right to ship the best way for on-time delivery.
Electrostatic Packaging:
On every invoice, a cost will appear to cover packaging and handling. Specifically, pcb assemblies require electrostatic bagging and extra padding to avoid damage during shipping.
Order Acceptance:
If an order is placed online, or by any other means, it is not guaranteed to be accepted by Advanced Assembly until it passes our CAM programming setup AND your account is in good standing.
Inventory of Parts:
Advanced Assembly does not store, keep, or otherwise promise to inventory any parts unless agreed to in writing by both parties.
Required files:
We require the following files for every order:
BOM list (or .xls spreadsheet). The BOM needs reference designators, value, package/decal, description, and part number.
Cad-generated component location XYRS file-also called the parts position/rotation file or the machine pick-n-place file. Each CAD system will generate this if requested. We place all SMT components by machine for all prototype orders.
Gerber files for Top/Bottom Copper, Silkscreen, and Solder Paste. (We don't need the soldermask file, but it’s ok to include in the zip file.) Gerbers must be in the RS274-X format.
